From the Director of International Studies
Welcome to Earnshaw State College.
I am proud to present Earnshaw State College as place of study, experience and opportunity in sunny Brisbane, Australia.
My name is Jacqui Smith and I am the Director of International Studies coordinating international principals, teachers and students from their exciting arrival to teary departure.
I wear two hats at Earnshaw State College as I am also the mother of students studying at the college. So why did I chose Earnshaw for my own children?
A `state wide’ recognised pedagogical framework which outlines how our teachers teach.
A college that flows from prep (5 years of age) through the junior and middle years to senior pathways of study (18 years of age).
A community that offers a wide range of clubs and extra-curricular activities such as science/ technology STEM, drama, art, triathlon, sporting teams, and dance, just to name a few.
Boutique sized college and campus which is large enough to have a variety of curriculum offerings but small enough to care. Students have individualised programs and you are not just a number.
But what would my children say?
For international visitors Earnshaw State College is in an ideal location:
Five minute walk to a train.
A quick train trip to the city.
Five minutes from the highway that connects to the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, both only sixty minutes away.
Eight minute drive or twenty minute walk to beautiful Nudgee Beach.
Five minute walk to Brisbane’s most significant Aboriginal cultural site, Bora Ring and Nudgee Waterhole, Nardah.
Three minute walk to Australian Catholic University. Many Earnshaw programs collaborate our learning with the university.
We invite you to become part of our international family.
