Hours: 8.00 am-3.00 pm daily (later by arrangement)
Bags are not permitted. Keep all valuables with you.
Behaviour
Students will at all times respect the rights of others to study and work effectively.
All students must wait outside for their teachers during class time.
Year 12 classes may wait for their teachers in the library.
You must have the written permission of your teacher to leave a class to come to the library.
Borrowing
ID cards
All students must use their ID cards to borrow.
It is an individual student's responsibility to buy a replacement for lost or damaged cards.
No student may use another student’s ID or borrow for another student.
Borrowing limits
Prep: 1 book – for 2 weeks
Years 1-3: 2 books – for 2 weeks
Years 4-9: 2 fiction, 2 non-fiction - for 2 weeks
Years 10-12: 2 fiction, 3 non-fiction - for 2 weeks
Senior Fiction
Available for loan to Years 10, 11 and 12 students only.
Reference
Not available for loan. Use in the library only.
Audio-visual
Videos, DVDs, maps and charts are available for use in the library only.
Overnight loans
These must be returned before 9.00am on the next day.
Magazines
Overnight loan only.
Overdues
It is the individual student's responsibility to ensure that borrowed items are returned on time.
At the end of two weeks, the loan period can be extended by bringing the item to the library for renewal.
Students with overdue loans are not permitted to borrow.
Lost items
Lost items must be paid for. The replacement cost includes a surcharge of $3.00 for processing.
Photocopying and printing
Photocopying is 10 cents per black and white copy.
The library does not keep change for photocopying. Students should have the correct change.
Computers
Preference is given to students using Alice or doing research.
If possible, word processing should be done elsewhere.
Students may use library computers for curriculum-related or teacher-directed work only.
