8A enterprise students hold the market banner which they created.
On Friday 23 November, the Year 8A Enterprise class staged a community twilight market as the culminating activity of their semester-long event management unit on community markets.

Twenty stallholders traded a variety of items including baking, jewellery, giftware, collectibles, craft, plants and second-hand books, clothing and homewares. Most stallholders reported healthy trade on the night and enjoyed the community atmosphere at the market. Both sides of Earnshaw Road were lined with patrons' cars during the peak period.

8A would like to thank Mr Saxby and Miss Dexter for their assistance with the running of the market. Thanks also to admin and ancillary staff Kirsten Tuckett, Lorraine Herne, Jill Antuar, Kevin Campbell, Mark Ford, Nancy Thompson and Sabina Lando. Special thanks to Kirsten and her father for returning the light tower, P&C Treasurer Jan Peterson for organising insurance cover, and Tuckshop Convenor Shannon Kelly and her loyal tuckshop volunteers who worked flat out on the night serving hungry market patrons.

With the success of this market, it is hoped that more regular twilight markets can be held in 2013.
